im going to Rock am Ring every year and more than one 3-day-festival per year is just too much x)
as for metallica, ive seen them twice, they were awesome

but im also quite a fan, you really gotta know some of the songs in order to enjoy that band.
as seen on a different concert, maiden was nice as well (esp. their stage performance) however we encountered some neonazis there. they annoyed ppl with their exaggerated pogo stuff but didn't really harm anyone. however it was quite distracting... to prevent your fun from being ruined, watch out for people wearing "black sun". they were looking rather ordinary, but i had checked those words like 1-2 weeks earlier while searching the net for terms i had made up for space rogues (THATS what i call a weird coincidence) oh and ofc bald people are always suspicious. my fav theory is that their hair grows inwards due to the vacuum in their heads

anyway, ive been to many concerts and i only met such people once. so i guess the chance is very low (considering how many people you meet on a concert) so there is no need to be worried.

As for me, I'd only pick Maiden and Edguy from that list, although I think it'd be cheaper to visit them on their own tours. While Maiden is overrated, it is still a good band though. However, I wouldn't go to Wacken because one, it's tough to get a ticket in time, and two, the event is so commercialised that it costs a fortune, as mentioned already.

only band i want to see is despised icon, and only for that i don´ want to throw 400€ out of a window to see a band ~45 mins

and die by boredness in 3 days. ok i will be drunk all the time and maybe some more fun, but...don´t think i will be there ^^ i´m not one of the metal guys who have long hair and like high vocalists (like maiden)
